“I want to go somewhere where I am more energised and engaged.
I’m in an organisation that is going through organisational change, which is the only constant in the last 3 years.
Investing a lot of energy in making sure the team delivers on the day to day while so much is changing around the team.
There’s a lot of friction… the team sometimes receives contradictory information.”
The engineering manager who told me this isn’t the only one who feels this tired and frustrated this way. Here’s what an MD said a couple of weeks ago:
“I’ve used up all my internal resources in the last couple of years. When things go wrong I feel bad. I take things so personally…
I want to have a sound reputation within the organisation and beyond.
I’m decisive but right now I feel under pressure, stressed and exhausted even. Lots of ambiguity in business life.”
If you feel like this too, you’re not alone.
These last couple of years have been volatile and filled with uncertainty. And yet you still need to deliver the day to day results.
Uses up all your internal resources.
But it doesn’t have to stay this way. It can get better.
Building your mental fitness enables you to
- find inner peace, balance and harmony.
- speak in a way that your words are valuable and valued.
- be a successful business leader that smoothly drives organisation through challenges to great achievements.
That’s what this engineering director did.
“Without you I would have lost my mind. Within a month of that place I thought what did I get into?
Since we’ve worked together I got mentally fit so I could choose what kind of leader I want to be, and actually be it. I know what I need to focus on, and I know how to stop the distractions inside my head.
I’ve come back to my dream of being CTO one day. I aim for world domination. I want to lead many teams to reach their full potential, and to win markets and be proud of what they build.”
Energised. Focused. Able to keep calm on the inside even when it’s chaos around you.
oh man the peace of mind this brings is liberating.
You are an action taker who wants to feel proud of yourself and the team.
You’re done with wasting time on mental bullshit.
Let’s get you mentally fit so you can feel calm and confident inside despite external circumstances.
