You may have made some New Years resolutions, or set some intentions for the year. But you’re stuck and don’t know where to start.
Are you procrastinating?
Maybe, but perhaps there’s something else going on.

So you’ve decided to make a big change in your life, maybe change careers, take care of your health, do something about your work life balance. You have thought it through and you are determined. But you are stuck and don’t know where to start. You’re in limbo, not actually doing anything to create this change. You’re thinking “how do I get started on a new change in my life?”

I’m going to tell you how to get started on a new change in your life
When you are stuck, and don’t know where to start, it’s not always procrastination. You could be suffering from vagueness. You don’t have a clear enough picture of the change you want to create.
You need to Amplify.
Amplify means “to enlarge upon or add detail”.
And this exercise will help.
Imagine that you have reached your goal.
What will you be doing (that you can’t do now)?
What will you be wearing? Picture yourself and go all out in this description: from your headgear to your shoes. (If you are anything like me, you will start with the shoes)
How will you stand or sit? What will you be doing with your hands?
Where are you?
Who is around you?
What’s happening on a daily or weekly basis?
Now that you know what you are aiming for you can think about what steps you need to take to create this new change in your life.
