Inspired by the shit show that is world politics right now, I want to talk about two things.
What hope really is.
I don’t know who wrote this, but I feel it in my soul. How can hope be anything other than strength, the scars of battle, and the determination to get up again and keep going. Driven by the strongest emotion of all, love.
People speak of hope as if it is
this delicate, ephemeral thing
made of whispers and spider’s
webs. It’s not. Hope has dirt on
her face, blood on her knuckles,
the grit of the cobblestones in her
hair, and just spat out a tooth as
she rises for another go.
What can I do?
As you read this, either Trump or Harris won.
Even if we are not in the US, this result matters. The US has major influence in the world, and the far right is inching across the world’s democracy, aching to take over.
If Trump, then holy hell do we have work to do in this world. It’s time for women to show the way. We must rise.
If Harris, then the world is still not safe because she’s got a lot to undo, and there are people who will have a violent reaction to her win (internally and possibly externally).
And still we must rise because that was too close. That exploitative aggression meets us at work, in our own domestic politics, and in many of the systems that control our lives.
It’s a signal to rise and take action.
While we can’t change US politics, we can step even more into our own leadership. With a sense of urgency, I’m called to do something with a group of women leaders.
So I’ve set up a group leadership program. Accessible, light, but impactful.
7 weeks. 7 women. With me.
Embracing and activating our leader within to guide us in what follows.
Accessible at β¬777.
You’ll get more than you pay for.
Let’s claim being leaders, joyously.
The future is ours, let’s grab it.
