When you fall in love with a (business) model.

WHY DO I LOVE THE BIGGER GAME?

LET ME COUNT THE WAYS

Many great people have an understanding of the world and create a model to describe it, tell you how to make the best of it or give you a way to live it to the fullest.
Rick Tamlyn and Laura Whitworth created the Bigger Game model (check out Rick’s website in the link). Last year I met Rick, checked out this model for living a fulfilling, engaging life – personal and work, and I fell in love.

1. ACCESSIBLE

You donโ€™t need to know leadership jargon, remember the acronyms etc to be able to get this model. The tag line on the book is 9 minutes to learn, and I agree

2. PLAYFUL

Iโ€™ve always incorporated humour into almost everything I do. What I mean is, that even in really dark situations Iโ€™ll find something to create a joke out of. The laughter releases the tension, and it incorporates the learning.
It comes from a deep belief that hard work doesnโ€™t need to feel hard. And if we can add lightness to the heavy, we can go bigger and further.
And the game format sets that context โ€“ helps you to be agile, not lumbering.

 3. REAL

Do you know those drawings that show what the path to success really looks like? With twists and turns, holes we fall in, obstacles in our path?
Thatโ€™s reality. And the bigger game board accounts for that โ€“ not just in a โ€œmanage the problemsโ€ way. But in a real โ€“ face and accept the reality, and use everything to help you in your Bigger Game – way.

4. MORE REASONS TO FOLLOW!

WHY DO I LOVE RICK?
Have you ever met someone who gives you the good feels, accepts and values who you are right now, and challenges you to grow, all at the same time?
Well, thatโ€™s Rick.
You can check out my review of the book here (blog for those who love to read, video for those who love to listen while scrolling).
And if you want to know more, share your thoughts, or geek out about all things leadership and engagement, then let’s chat (this link lets you book some time in my agenda to chat – this is not a sales link).
