This is part of my Thought Piece Series where I explore topics related to leadership and provide both answers and questions. My intention is to start meaningful conversations that help us move forward.
This is a time of year with a lot of social activity, and a lot of work to finish before the year-end deadline. We can go go go.
And like you, my To-Do list is far longer than I want.
Exciting news! My interview is out on the Burnout Power podcast. I’m on Episode 5. And this is me being very un-British: god, I know what I’m talking about.
Seriously, Burnout out is like the #ExtremeSports of stress. If you’ve gone through burnout and recovered, then you really know what you’re talking about when it comes to stress.
(I know a part of me is going to have a freak out that I’ve actually published that sentence. Will you think I’m arrogant for saying this about myself? maybe. I’ll just lean into my decision to let go of worrying about what people might think of me)
So why have I dropped that into my thought piece about “it’s ok to hermit?”
Because while I would love to write a post highlighting the key points from my podcast, I want to hermit. I need time outs.
So I’m going to take my own advice, hermit away from writing, and let the podcast speak for itself.
Stick your headphones in, grab a beverage, and listen.
Don’t even take notes, just listen.
Or take a nap. Whatever you need to do / not do to hermit.
Enjoy!
